Wealth management units at the nation’s largest banks reported rising client assets for the second quarter, thanks to a combination of market appreciation and asset-gathering. More money in client investment accounts is a boon for the fees that the wealth units generate on assets under management. Citigroup reported client investment assets rose 14% year over year to $727 billion.
